More Islanders will need support through their end-of-life journey. Trained Hospice PEI volunteers can provide that support in the home, palliative care units, long-term care facilities, and hospitals.
Hospice PEI services are offered to anyone living with a life-limiting or palliative diagnosis. Referrals can be made by the client themselves, doctors, nurses, family members, or friends.
We carefully match our volunteers with individual's and family's requests based on their needs and our resources.
Volunteer support services include: listening and conversing, reading, comforting, meditation, walking, providing respite care for caregivers, music care, Therapeutic Touch, and transportation to appointments.
Hospice PEI volunteer services are provided free of charge.
